Palomar Modular Buildings has completed construction of the new City of Wilmer City Hall modular building in Wilmer, Texas. The 5,376-square-foot facility is home to the water and permits departments, where citizens do business with the city.
The ADA-compliant six-module building includes an open lobby area with walk-up access windows to the Permit Department on one side and the Water Department on the other. Included in the design is a drop box on the exterior of the building directly connected to the Water Department, which citizens can conveniently use outside of operating hours. The floor plan also features a large conference room that opens into the lobby, multiple offices, an IT room, an employee break room, and employee restrooms. The modular building features dual-glazed low-e windows, a high-efficiency HVAC system, electronically secured doors, durable, low-maintenance floor and wall coverings, and motion light sensors.
The modules were prefabricated at the Palomar Modular Buildings manufacturing facility in DeSoto, Texas, before being shipped to the City of Wilmer location for installation and final finishing.
